If I have a weekend tournament - I would like to be able to create a game with a date range.  This way they know the tourney extends for the entire weekend.

Can you provide a specific type of game that would cross several days? For a tournament, there are distinct games that happen at a tournament and would be set up separately. What scenario would need a multi-day game?

For gymnastics meets - you do not know when you are actually competing until about the week of the meet.

I have a feeling tournaments would be this way too.  You know you are at the MPLS Soccer Tourney, but do not know your actual scheduled game times until the schedule is out.

It would be nice to be able to include these on a team page as a game, and not just as a calendar event.

This would be useful in volleyball tournaments as well, so all the individual matches could be associated with a tournament. The scenario for our club would be to set up a single or multi-day tournament in advance, and when the game info becomes available, create the games and link them to the tournament. Thx

I agree with the comments below. Typically the schedule is released about a week in advance but parents and players need to make arrangements as soon as the tournament is booked. I've been adding TBD games as placeholders and adding game info when the schedule is released but it would be helpful to have an event that spans multiple days to indicate these events (or create multiple TBD games in one entry screen with the ability to set number of games per day).
