Automatic Publishing of Pages and Page Elements

It would be helpful to have the ability to schedule a page element to publish on a specified date and time.Currently you can set the whole page to Publish, Private or Disabled.

For example: I create a page and elements on that page with information, images and documents. I'd like to schedule the whole page to be active on schedule except for one of the elements to be hidden until a specified time and date. On that date/time, the element automatically begins to appear. Right now only news stories can be published on schedule.

Great idea! I'll foward on to our product team. A couple of things you an do in the meantime are:

    1. Use mirrors. You could create the content elsewhere and then mirror it out.
    2. Use templates. This is my preferred shortcut for this. Create the content in a template and then when you are ready to publish it, add it to the page in question.

Both of these require your intevention though, so I like the idea of a publishe date and time too!

Any update on this?  This would be a great way to manage page content as it changes during the season (e.g. the spirit wear page has content for before the store open, while it's open for ordering, and then after it closes)
