Show more than two levels of sub-pages in drop down menu

As of now, the system will only show two levels of subpages in the dropdown menu.  If an organization has a 3rd sub page, the user experience to find the specific page they're looking for will require additional clicks and frustration.  This is also frustrating for webmasters as they become limited with the way they want their navigation to be set up.

There are many situations in which an organization will want more than two sub-pages that a user should be able to access directly from the drop down menu.  Some examples below:

  • HS Athletics - (Sports>Fall>Football>Varsity)
  • Little League - (Teams>Divisions>Majors>Blue Jays)

Currently, the sub pages stop appearing at the 2nd sub page/3rd page in the hierarchy (examples above: Football and Majors).  This requires a user to navigate into the sub page first before reaching their destination.

The work around for this issue requires our clients to either create additional tabs in the nav bar that take up space, or create a disorganized tab that includes all of the sports (example: http://athletics.hrhsfalcons.com/home).

Another helpful navigation piece would be to allow for "dead" navigation buttons that allow sub menus to show up when moused over but aren't clickable. For example: many sites have a "TEAMS" button in the main navigation that, when clicked, goes to a blank page or a page with a site map as placeholder content. Allowing that to just be a button that can be moused over to access the sub menu buttons but not clicked would make for a much better user experience.

Agreed and posted in another comment about this topic. Ryan Wood - I asked about the main navigation being disabled or not executable. Essentially, they have this setup to be a page, but no way to only be a hoverable link.I would like to see both of these happen. Thanks!
