Automatic RSVP Invites for events and games

Be able to have a setting at the team level that would trigger automatic RSVP invites to be sent out X days (make this configurable) before events.  Sending the invite when an event is created is pointless because people don't know what they are doing weeks down the road.  It is much more relevant to ask them 3-5 days prior to the event.

RSVP is now always available for any event. Team Managers/coaches can now opt to also send out a message immediately when an event is created as well as send out a reminder 48 hours before the event. You can read more on the Help Center.

Our ideal would be for the event/game be open for RSVP without having to
send an invite. We're a hockey organization with 15 teams with each having
2-3 practices plus 2-3 games per week for over 6 months. Parents/Players
really don't want 4-6 invitation emails plus other communication emails
every week. Setting events/games as open for RSVP would make it more
streamlined. Our weekly communications already include reminders.

Steve Pampuch - this would not work for one of my organizations. We are a hockey program and for each team, I'm loading north of 60 practices and 50 games all at one time. In that scenario, I do not want 110 notifications or invites to go out. Nor do I need to know in August if Johnny will be able to make an away game in March.

Rather, my ideal situation would be to trigger one notification a few days before the event, with the RSVP buttons in the notification.

I think this idea can be merged with the other idea related to this...which currently has 57 votes.

As an add to this post, I think if you allow managers to add a default "Attending" status then sending reminders would spur an action.

Suggestion: Does it make sense to send the invite out immediately (similar to most scheduling apps like Google) and then have the ability to add 'reminder notifications'?
