Formatting EXPORT TO CSV

Permit arranging fields to seamlessly import data into external database. Our in-house POS/CRM has an import feature with a specific format/template. Using the SportNgin Registration Report, we can select which fields we would like to export from a specific registration but we cannot reorder the fields. In order to import that data into our in-house system, we would need to rearrange the columns using Excel.

If during the export process we could select the order of the selected fields, it would minimize the amount of time exchanging data. (Take it one step further... if we could save that export format, we would only be required to set it once and reuse it for any registration - assuming common fields are being used in each registration.)

    Admin Response

    Hi Jason,

This exists today for you! Here are the steps

    1. Go into the admin control panel/registration tab
    2. Click on your registration you want to export the data for
    3. Click on the saved reports tab
    4. If you don't have a saved report already, create one.
    5. Once you have the saved report, in the top right corner, you will see a set of action buttons.
    6. Click on the order columns button
    7. Arrange your columns in the order you desire
    8. Click 'Save'
    9. Your report should now show the columns in the order you set them in.
    10. If you want to save this view, click 'Save and Update'
    11. Click the 'Export to Excel (.csv)' button

Let me know if you have any problems getting this to work!

    thanks,

Thanks!! I guess as I get older I don't see that which is right in front of me! (Either that or too many trips to the penalty box.) Have a great weekend!
