Better handling of Parent(s) registration in association with their SE accounts

As a Parent, if I register with one SE account for the first time, I should be able to add the other parent/guardian on the same registration and allow for that SE account to be associated with my child.   


This is really confusing parents, and is a convoluted system.   Parents are getting confused about adding the other parents (no matter how much it's explained to them, the can't figure it out).   This needs to be kept Simple Stupid.   I get multiple registrations for the same kid with both parents listed on both registrations.

    I have been playing around with the registration forms in SE to get something like this to happen directly through a registration as well as to get the child's contact info into the system.  We are a high school team and we need for each player to have access to all messages that go out.   

    Attached is what I came up with.  The only thing that needs to be done on the SE side is to get a third SE Profile Question created for email and for phone.  That way you can have player email/phone, parent1 email/phone, parent 2 email/phone all associated with the Player Profile and then they can easily toggle on/off their notification settings right from the Player Profile - Simple Stupid.
