Permission level for score entry only

Add an additional permissions level, below edit, but above view, that would allow users to add game scores through the iPhone and the iPad applications.

I don't even thing just for scoring.

I think if you have a set of default permissions for a profile (says scoring, or coach, or team mom), this could be beneficial

Sitting next to the president at our board meeting tonight as he tried to enter his score from earlier game on the mobile app.  I watched as he inadvertently deleted the game when trying to make it final.

Please, please, please add more levels of permissions. We can't have every coach have the ability to delete games from the schedule.

Over a year ago Matt Murphy  responded "This is on my roadmap, and it will get built! We are working on some architectural decisions now that will impact how we do this, but it's definitely in our plans."

So why does it not even fall within the "Future Consideration" or "Planned" status?

We have been pushing for this for 3 years.  There are also other ideas out there that mirror this request.

I hope and trust that SE is/will listen to this most important request.  I see its been awhile and the latest comment a month ago by SE is all that has happened so far from what I can tell.  This is not rocket science. The security model should be based on most any enterprise active directory where you have more granular security.

Hi everyone, thank you for all the feedback on this item!

We most certainly agree that this is an important aspect to creating the best league and tournament management experience that we can. This is on my roadmap, and it will get built! We are working on some architectural decisions now that will impact how we do this, but it's definitely in our plans.

    Stay tuned!

What I think we need is to have security so that a coach can be given manager rights for their team without full owner rights, so they can use the communication features, schedule events, and enter scores, with an option to allow (or not) scheduling or rescheduling games.  Owner rights is too powerful, but changing game schedules creates too many problems. The result right now is I end up entering scores for about 50 games every week, since there isn't a scoring tool integrated for rugby.

I would like to gripe as well about this being ignored by SE.  We are towards the end of our Hockey season, so one our next large decisions is to determine if we stay with SE or look for a better fit elsewhere.  There HAS to be separate league security which we can lock the league calendar.  Having members modifying the league calendar has significant impact.  These member updates can be done without realizing they are impacting league.

I take back my comment. As I read the other comments I see what the issue is now

This feature already in the mobile product.

Just to gripe a bit, but this suggestion has tons of votes, has been sitting here for 16 months and has not had a single response from the developers or the community manager.

There are some really great suggestions on these forums, but for stuff like this to sit here unanswered for so long is disappointing.

The number one complaint prior to joining Sport Ngin was the inability of coaches/managers to enter scores of games immediately.  Now the number one issue is that not only can they enter scores, they can freely modify schedules, which is a league activity.

This idea should be a priority! :-) We need this in our adult baseball league. Please!

Loren, you forgot to include Rugby in the list of sports this would help.
