Currently whenever a member cancels a claimed DIB prior to the cancellation deadline, our volunteer coordinator gets an email each time (which equates to a bunch of noise that they usually just ignore). However once the cancellation deadline is reached, while the member can no longer cancel their claimed DIB, the system still allows them to "request cancellation" which does nothing excepts sends an identical email to the volunteer coordinator, which is easy for them to miss.
What we would like to see is the ability to request the cancellation after the deadline removed entirely. Barring that, the email that it sends should at least be changed to make it clearly different than the ones sent out when the members cancel their DIBS prior to the cancellation deadline, so that it is obvious in the inbox that the email is different (i.e. totally different subject line), and maybe put the member into a page where they have to manually type in an email that gets send to the coordinator.
