Allow Admin to Assign DIBs

Giving admins the ability to assign people to specific DIBs would be useful.  Periodically we need to assign people to tasks or edit them after the fact (Shift Swap, no show replacement...etc). Or sometime we need to apply them to a task after the fact,

For example, we had several people help hand out equipment that did sign up via DIBS, but now we need to provide them credit.  We have had events were needed a lot volunteers and not sure how many, versus creating a ton of extra shifts, we could have them all sign in that they attended and the Admin could create the DIBS item and assign each person after the fact to make sure they all get their credit.

Another use case is for when games get rescheduled....this would be a very helpful feature.

Yes, I was thinking about suggesting the same thing. So glad I decided to read through suggestions. One of my major concerns with parents is that they cannot go back into their claimed Dib to make a correction to their Athletes name or email address and as an admin I am also unable to make any changes. I have to mark the Dib unclaimed and make them restart the process. It should be easier for us to make last minute changes to a Dib session. We should be able to simply edit the info in a Dib oppose to having to remove the info already claimed and start another one. I also feel parents should be able to cancel their Dibs or edit them if the fulfillers need change such as Athlete, email, phone, etc...

@Kristin, those directions are applicable if a person has claimed a shift, but I believe what Brenden was requesting and why I voted for this idea was how a position is assigned.  Today, you can only claim a shift for yourself, regardless if you are a standard user or an admin.  It would be nice if there was a way an admin could claim a shift for someone else.  This would be helpful in a situation where someone wants to claim a shift but can not, or if you have someone who fills in for someone who did not show up for their shift.
